Description:Position Summary:Building MechanicThis role is
responsible for the maintenance of facilities for an assigned
facility and/or company retail stores; follow defined procedures
and processes relating to repairs and/or replacements of equipment
and fixtures.What You'll Do:Ensure distribution center meets all
safety requirementsRepair and/or replace equipment and fixtures as
necessary (i.e., floors, ceiling, walls, doors, cabinets, light
bulbs, plumbing, electrical, etc.)Maintain a clean and safe work
environment; ensure work is completed in a timely manner while
keeping operations business needs in mindPerform occasional repairs
on forklifts, pallet trucks, and other material handling
equipmentPerform preventative maintenance and repairs on motive
power batteries and chargersAssist with maintaining the inventory
and recommended stock lists of critical spare parts and service
suppliesComplete facility compliance, safety, and food safety
inspections and create action plans to correct deficienciesAssist
with maintenance of facility security, asset protection, and safety
needsWhat You'll Need:High School Graduate or Equivalent (GED)1-3
years' experience with a combination of electrical, plumbing,
carpentry, and an understanding of environmental issues.Experience
with food distribution requirements strongly preferredExcellent
communication skills, written and verbal to communicate and/or
document maintenance needs and status of projects using computers
and Microsoft Office ApplicationsBasic math, writing and computer
skills related to mechanic aptitude/maintenancePrior experience in
facility maintenance a plusPrior experience with commercial
refrigeration a plusMust be able to organize and prioritize work
assignments and meet established deadlinesMust perform assigned
tasks accurately and completelyMust be able to work alone at
timesMust be flexible and able to manage changes in work
requirements productivelyPhysical Requirements:The physical demands
described here are representative of those that must be met by an
associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this

frequently sit, walk and stand, use hands to handle, grasp, and
twist objects, tools, or controls, and use both feet for repetitive

and arms. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as
needed. While performing the duties of this position, employees are
subject to a warehouse environment and may frequently be exposed to
changes in temperature and humidity based on assignment. The noise
level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
Employees must be able to work weekends, holidays, days and night
hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned, and must be able
to work in the condition specified for 8-10 hours shift as
