The ER Tech at St. Francis works full-time in the Emergency Room, serving as a multi-functional member of the patient care team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role involves providing basic patient care, performing administrative duties, and conducting tasks such as EKGs, while ensuring effective communication with patients and healthcare staff. Candidates must hold a relevant certification and have at least one year of patient care experience, with a strong capacity to work in a high-stress environment.

St. Francis is hiring for Multi-Care Tech working full-time in the Emergency Room.

Serve as a multi-functional member of the patient care team under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Support the RN staff through regularly organizing and facilitating two or more functional roles of the patient care plan of which may include the following: Basic Patient Care Activities, Unit Secretary functions, performing 12 lead EKG's. Accurately and promptly communicates with the nursing staff, patient, family, and patient care team as required.

This is a PRN overnight position working to cover various shifts, which will potentially include weekends and holidays.

*We do offer a shift diff pay.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent, Required Certification:
  • Must be licensed in the state of Georgia as a C.N.A., Medical Assistant, or be currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing or EMT certification
    Basic Life Support, Required Experience:
    • MultiCare Tech II: One year of patient care experience required; hospital setting preferred
    • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
