Bakery Department Supervisor Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Bakery Department Supervisor to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for leading a team of bakery team members, ensuring the smooth operation of the department, and delivering exceptional customer service.Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Supervise and delegate tasks to bakery team members, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Training and Development: Work with the bakery trainer to train team members in a manner that builds a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Department Operations: Assist in the training of new team members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials.
• Customer Service: Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs, directing team members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.
• Inventory Management: Ensure that all cases and shelves are clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated.
• Store Operations: Open and close the department according to established procedures, ensuring that all necessary breaks are given.Requirements:
  • Experience: 12+ months of retail experience.
  • Skills: Extensive knowledge of bakery team procedures and policies, strong organizational and time management skills, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
