  • Hospital in Alabama is in need of Medsurg RN's for both days and nights.
    • Job Requirements
    • Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS.
      • Schedule Information
      • Modified self schedule for 5T; Contract employees do not self-schedule for 7T.
      • Weekend Requirement: 4 shifts per 4 weeks.
      • Holiday Requirement: 1 major and 2 minors in winter for 5T; Thanksgiving or Christmas + NY or NYE for 7T.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit Specific Orientation: 5T: 2 shifts of orientation on unit; 7T: One-week of PCPO at the education center plus two (12) hour shifts on assigned unit.
          • Additional Details
          • Department: Med/Surg - RN
          • 5T: 34 beds; 7T: 36 beds
          • Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
          • Common diagnoses: 5T: CKD, ESRD, CVA, DM; 7T: COPD, Sepsis, AMS, UTI, AKI, Diabetes, COVID, Anemia, Weakness.
          • Experience: Teamwork, initiative.
          • Charge nurse will flow into staffing if census dictates or staffing calls for it.
          • Nurse aides: Yes, No set ratio. Goal is
          • RT Equipment: 5T: High flow, Cpap, BiPap; 7T: All O2 modalities up to BiPAP. No ventilators.
          • Floating Requirements: Yes. Within medical-surgical division.
          • Scrub Color: Ceil Blue.
