Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: Respiratory Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, 12-hour nights. Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years in a Level 3 NICU License: Not specified Certifications: BLS and NRP for NICU; ACLS/APLS preferred Must-Have: - Experience with Cerner or EPIC (EMR) - Ability to work independently in a Level 3 NICU - Skills in ground transports, nitric oxide administration, and transport experience preferred Job Description: - Work in a facility with 492 beds, offering a range of patient types through the hospital, including NICU if applicable for RT NICU position. - Provide care to both adult and NICU patients, with additional responsibilities floating to like units or patient locations. - Use and maintain equipment including PB 840, PB 980, Drager VN500, LTV, Airvo ventilators, and Oscillator (3100A). - Administer medication using Omnicell and monitor patients with Spacelabs. - Engage in ground transports for NICU and administer nitric oxide as needed. - Participate in weekend rotations every other weekend and voluntary on-call scheduling. - Fulfill holiday expectations by working one major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy. - Attend orientation comprised of 24 hours of classroom time and 24 hours on the unit for new hires or returning staff who have been away for 1 year or more. - Adhere to a uniform dress code with navy blue scrubs. Note: Scrub color is navy blue.
