Job Description & Requirements Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular - Travel - (Cardio - CVICU RN) StartDate: 6/24/2024 Pay Rate: $1675.75 - $1846.75 THIS IS FOR A CVICU POSITION SimpliFi Interview About Facility: 492 Beds 2105 E. South Blvd., Montgomery, AL 36116 Level II Trauma Center Primary Stroke Center General Information: Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, with at least 2-years' experience and Cerner OR EPIC experience. Traditional Travelers: at least 2-years' experience. Will be assigned a home unit on the first day of orientation. CVICU Number of Beds: 12 Patient Types: Post op CABG, Valve, thoracotomies, V-A and V-V ECMO, post cardiac arrest, post heart cath, post op vascular surgery, critical care Skills required: Swan ganz catheters, arterial lines, hemodynamic monitoring, chest tubes, CRRT, medication titration, IABP, Impella, EKOS, vent management, Tandem Life/Tandem Lung Patient Ratios: 1:2 Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Support on the Unit: CNA (Ratio): 1:10 Receptionist/HUC? No Charge nurse? 1 per shift Phlebotomy? Yes IV/VAT Team? Yes Hospitalist? Yes Telemetry monitoring tech? Are RNs required to read/measure tele strips? ICU monitoring Technology/Equipment: EMR: Cerner IV pumps: Plum 360 Medication dispensing: Omnicell Monitors: Spacelabs Floating: If yes, where? Any like unit/patient location (MS-MS, MS-ICU task, MS-ER/MS holds; ICU-ICU, ICU-MS task or limit of 3, ICU-ER/ICU holds) Orientation: Travelers who are new to the facility or return travelers who have been gone for 1+ years will have 24 hours of classroom time and 24 hours on the unit Rehires: orientation will depend on last date here Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every other weekend, may work back to back weekends (rare) On call? No Holiday Expectations: One major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy Holiday Expectations: This does not mean they will automatically be scheduled for those dates, but we will not contractually guarantee to being off prior to arrival.
