Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Cardiac ICU Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night (12-hour shifts, 7 PM - 7 AM) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum years not specified License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Flu and COVID vaccines (medical or religious exceptions accepted) Job Description: - Work in a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU) specializing in post-cath, post-operative heart surgery, and unstable Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI). - Manage a 12-bed unit with a Nurse-to-Patient ratio of 2:1. - Provide 1:1 care for immediate post-operative patients, Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) patients, and with Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). - Float as needed within skillset and provide support to the float pool. - Perform special procedures, including ECMO and bedside emergent re-entry. - Use Epic for charting and documentation. - Work every other weekend as part of the weekend requirement. - Wear navy blue scrubs during shifts.
