• Employment Type: TravelThe Respiratory Manager is responsible for assisting the Director with the daily administration of the Respiratory Department fuctions. The functions include but are not limited to budget, performance appraisals, design, implementation of special projects, and competency of staff. Manager responsibilities will also include the direct supervision of all supervisors. The manager will develop new and imporved programs for education and clinical application in regard to current standards of care and practice, changing technology and identified quality imporvement opportunites. In addition, the manager is responsible for coordinating the orienattion for all new employees within defined practice areas and ensuring the validation of competecny of staff upon employement and ongoing with accurate record keeping within the assigned areas. The maintenance of clinical proficiency is a must and direcot or indirect patient care may be included in this role as needed. Requirements: RRT credentialAlabama Respiratory Care licenseMinimum of a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or respiratory care Minimum of 5 years of recent clinical experience Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience Practice or obtain certification in specialty area preferred (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.)BCBS Benefits availableBaptist Works Job ID #2017.
