off. Because of the need for a consistent, in-person collaboration
this particular role will be performed full-time on-site in
Anniston, AL.As a Principal Quality Engineer you will interface
with the customer and the Defense Contracts Management Agency
(DCMA) for audits, program inquiries and product acceptance. You
will use your quality systems experience and attention to detail to
review for hardware and documentation records as part of the
product acceptance process. This is a fast-paced and collaborative
program team environment.As a Principal Quality Engineer, you
will:
- Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation and
control systems and protocols for processing materials into
partially finished or finished materials product.
- Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting,
testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and
production equipment.
- Design and assess inspection and testing processes, mechanisms
and equipment, and conduct quality assurance tests.
- Use lean and six-sigma quality methodologies and utilize
quality tools to help drive continuous improvement.Required
Education, Experience, & Skills
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or
technical discipline with at least six years of related experience,
or additional experience in lieu of degree
- Solid understanding of Quality Assurance / Quality Control
fundamentals and concepts
- Experience operating within ISO 9001 standards
- Strong background in problem solving techniques and analysis
(A3, DMAIC, etc.)
- Experience using standard and industry related software
including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database
applications such as Oracle or TipQA
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
- Able to guide / mentor othersPreferred Education, Experience, &
Skills
- ASQ certification
- Experience using Oracle and TipQA
- Experience working in a quality program in support of
government contracts, preferably DoD
- Formal training in root cause analysis
- Experience implementing APQP in a low-rate, technically
elaborate product environment
- People management experience preferably in a union
environment
- Metrology experience (Faro Arm, CMM, etc.)
- Paint inspection experiencePay InformationFull-Time Salary
Range: $91980 - $156330Please note: This range is based on our
market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined
by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
