The following information provides an overview of the skills,
qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.
We are seeking a skilled CMM/In-Process Auditor to join our team.
This position is essential in ensuring the quality of our
manufacturing processes and products through the interpretation of
technical prints, development of CMM methods and procedures, and
conducting various inspections. The ideal candidate will have
extensive experience working with CMM machines, performing
inspections, and troubleshooting quality issues in a fast-paced,
high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing): Read
and interpret technical prints to understand the detailed
requirements for manufacturing parts and components.
Develop and Improve CMM Methods: Develop, sustain, and improve
Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) methods and procedures to ensure
effective and efficient quality control.
Offsets and Adjustments: Experience in determining offsets and
adjusting accordingly to maintain accuracy in measurements and
manufacturing processes.
Set-Up and Inspection: Perform multiple types of inspections,
including first-piece, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring
product quality meets specifications.
Standard Work Development: Create and maintain standard work, setup
sheets, and standard operating procedures for production jobs.
Surface Plate Layout: Be fully versed in surface plate layout
techniques and the use of a wide range of measuring
instruments.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot various quality issues, develop
corrective actions, and implement strategies to prevent
recurrence.
Adhere to SOP: Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures
(SOP) and monitor compliance across the team.
Understand Product Functionality: Learn and understand the nature
and functionality of the products being inspected to ensure all
aspects of quality are addressed.
Data Entry: Accurately input inspection data into the manufacturing
database for record-keeping and analysis.
Qualifications:

Knowledge of Firearms: Strong understanding of firearms, their
quality standards, features, and safety protocols.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years working in a high-volume
manufacturing environment, with specific experience in quality
assurance and inspections.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal
and written, to interact with team members and management.
Team Player: Ability to work well as part of a cross-functional
team with high levels of professionalism, integrity, and
enthusiasm.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, organization, and
the ability to work efficiently under pressure with changing
business and regulatory needs.
Self-Sufficient: Ability to work independently with minimal
supervision and make critical decisions based on data and
inspection results.
Education/Experience:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing or quality
assurance setting.
Preferred:
Vocational/Technical Degree
Proficiency with computer software including MS Excel, MS Word, and
experience with CMM software.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret quality performance reports
and create solutions.
Ability to effectively present information to management and other
stakeholders.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to collect and document data accurately.
Ability to follow both written and oral instructions.
Ability to perform complex tasks and solve problems
effectively.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods as
needed.
Computer Skills:
Required: Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and experience with MS
PowerPoint and Outlook.
Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel may be required.
Other Skills & Abilities:
Attendance: This role requires regular, consistent, reliable, and
punctual attendance, including the ability to work overtime before
and after shifts, and on weekends as needed.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a team or
independently as required to achieve customer satisfaction.

The work environment characteristics described here are

The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and

Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms,

Work Authorization:
This position requires compliance with ITAR (International Traffic
in Arms Regulations). Must be a "U.S. Person" (as defined by ITAR
120.15) and provide proof upon hire.
